Our philosophy is that Kilmovee/Urlaur Group Water Scheme strive to produce clean, safe drinking water to all of our scheme members.
Kilmovee/Urlaur Group Water Scheme was commissioned in 1985. There are currently 730 members of the scheme. There are approximately 1,100 connections between farm and domestic connections. The source of the water is Lough Urlaur, there is a treatment plant in Urlaur and the water is treated by a company called Glan Agua. They treat approximately 400 cubic metres of water per day which is then pumped to the reservoirs in Egool and Clooniron. It is then piped through to the various distribution networks. There are 9 members on the management of the Group Water Scheme. There are monthly meetings held to discuss all aspects of the scheme and the day to day operations of the scheme.
